Hestercombe House & Gardens, Cheddon Fitzpaine, Taunton, is a quintessential English country garden but is unique in its combination of three periods of garden design including a Georgian Landscape Garden, a Victorian Terrace and an Edwardian Formal Garden designed by Edwin Lutyens and Gertrude Jekyll. Comprising over fifty acres, Hestercombe has been lovingly restored to its original splendour and is now a historically significant garden of international acclaim. Afternoon tea is served in the Column Room Restaurant within Hestercombe House from which there are beautiful views of the Edwardian Garden and the rolling Blackdown Hills.
Hestercombe is nestled in countryside at the food of the Quantock Hills in Somerset. It is only three miles from Taunton and just 15 minutes from junction 25 of the M5.
