Things to do - Isle Of Coll

Coll lies in the inner Hebrides 10 miles west of Mull and the Treshnish Isles, and is reached by ferry from Oban. It is low lying, with a landscape of sandy beaches, dunes and peat bog, freshwater lochs and rock. Looking in a westerly direction on a clear day gives a 60 mile (or greater) panorama of the Hebridean islands. The Isle of Coll is a stunning wild retreat blessed with a wealth of flora and fauna. Its summer carpet of wild flowers is simply awesome. Also look out for Basking Sharks, sea birds and migrants like the rare Corncrake.
