Borth Wild Animal Kingdom, Ceredigion is more than just a Zoo. It is a sanctuary for unwanted native and exotic species. We have over 150 fascinating species including reptiles, monkeys, wolf dogs, lynx and lions. With opportunities for an unrivalled hands-on experience.
We have a cafe and gift shop, children's play area, petting barn and farm animals. The keepers give hourly talks so you can learn more about some of our most popular residents and we have a reptile show every day. During the year we hold special events, including Easter Egg Hunts, Fundraising events, Night Tours, School holiday activities, Halloween Spooky Night Tours and Santa's Grotto.
We encourage working with vulnerable groups to build confidence through volunteering and work experience. We also offer an outreach service so that groups who cannot visit the zoo have opportunities to meet some of the animals with their keepers. We also have a great educational package for schools, colleges and Universities to compliment students learning.
Borth Wild Animal Kingdom is located on the west coast of Mid Wales, between Aberystwyth and Machynlleth on a little hill overlooking the seaside town of Borth. We have Free Parking and the Zoo is just a few minutes walk from Borth railway station, High Street and Beach. An idyllic location, surrounded by farmland, adjacent to the Leri river with a backdrop of mountains and where the sea is so close you can hear the waves crashing on the shore.
