Borth Wild Animal Kingdom is more than just a Zoo. It is a sanctuary for unwanted native and exotic species. They have over 150 fascinating species and opportunities for an unrivalled hands-on experience. They have daily reptile shows, hourly animal talks, chances to see the big cats feeding and even bunny grooming included in the entrance fee. For those of you who want to interact more closely you can buy an Animal Experience, or be a 'Keeper-for-a-day' where you will have a choice of animals to spend time with and help look after.
Great News - We are now open!!
It is only going to be in a limited capacity to begin with and certain areas will be off limits, so it is going to be a slightly different experience to normal, but our animals are going to be pleased to see you once again. Visitors love coming to our little zoo because geographically we are quite isolated and never get thousands of visitors a day, like some of the bigger zoos in the UK, but we are still putting in measures to make it as safe, hygienic and pleasurable as we possibly can. Indoor areas such as the Café and Petting barn will be off-limits but you will have access to most of the outdoor areas. A limited take-away menu of hot and cold food will be available to order from reception which can be eaten at our outdoor picnic areas.
One of the things people enjoy about our animals is how close you can get to some of them. For that reason we are asking you to mask up when you enter the zoo as the coronavirus could be passed on to animals. Please feel free to bring your own mask or face covering, but masks will be available for sale at reception. Children under 6 do not have to wear a mask.
Tickets can be pre-booked on our web-site or can be purchased upon arrival at the admissions desk.
