Devil's Bridge Waterfalls

Devil's Bridge Waterfalls, Aberystwyth, Ceredigion, Wales

At Devil's Bridge Waterfalls, Aberystwyth is a stunning 300ft Mynach waterfall and is just one of the sights that you will find on our 45 minute circular nature trail. The woodland path leads you deep down into the Rheidol gorge descending over 300 steps on the way. After seeing the famous three bridges built one on top of the other you will pass under the stunted sessile oak trees, and catch views of the Rheidol river.

Heading further onward you will climb down Jacob's Ladder which is famous for being a set of 100 steps all in one straight flight. Crossing over the humped iron bridge you will then ascend up the other side of the gorge tackling another 330 or so steps. Fear not though, as on the way back up you can rest and admire the waterfalls from close up from one of the decking view points, giving you time to catch your breath. You will also pass the remains of Robbers cave and at the end of the walk you can enjoy the use of the telescope to view the Gyfarllwyd waterfalls and the Cambrian mountains in the distance.
