Andrew Logan is the only living artist to have a museum dedicated entirely to his own work. He is a prolific worker who enjoys designing and making a huge range of artworks from sculptures to fabulous jewellery. He created The Alternative Miss World, a celebration of glamour and individuality in 1972 and the event continues every few years at The Globe in London. This year is the golden anniversary of the alternative miss world, 50 years of fun! He now lives in Berriew by the gorgeous River Rhiew at the heart of the village, inspired by the landscape, nature and people of Wales.
The museum shows some of his larger sculptures created after travels to India, Egypt and Africa. There are portraits of his friends, family, gods and goddesses. There is a range of his past jewels together with recent creations, some of which are available to buy at the museum shop. There is also a coffee shop and outdoor seating area.
Entrance is now available by phoning 0333 666 3366 or just by turning up.
The Andrew Logan Museum of Sculpture is located in Mid Wales in the beautiful village of Berriew, close to the border with Shropshire.
