The Gables Bed and Breakfast, Matlock, offers individually designed king, double and twin rooms all with en-suite facilities.

This Gables includes The Dovedale Room, our standard double room, the Bakewell Room which can be either a twin room or a king bed overlooking the back garden & The Derwent Suite our most popular room with a large bathroom with roll top bath, large walk in shower & stunning views overlooking Matlock Bath, The Derwent valley & The Heights of Abraham.

We offer toiletries, bath robes, fridges with fresh milk, and bottled water, tea/coffee making facilities & biscuits. Our guest information folder with suggestions for places to eat & things to do in the area and further afield is in all of our rooms.

All our bedrooms come with their own en-suite facilities. The Derwent Suite also has a roll top bath for that little bit of luxury.

Upon arrival we offer all guests a pot of tea or coffee and a slice of home made cake. This can be enjoyed in our new dining area or on the front patio.

For breakfast we offer both Full English and Continental, using as many locally sourced produce as possible. The fresh fruit and veg all comes from Matlock market and the sausages and bacon from a local butcher, Robin Maycock.

One thing that sets us out from the crowd and what we get many good reviews for, is our stunning view over Matlock and The Heights of Abraham. This is the view from The Derwent Suite and can also be seen from the dining room and front patio.
