The Marton Arms is nestled in the picturesque hamlet of Thornton in Lonsdale, just outside Ingleton in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park, a perfect location for walkers, cyclists and cavers to enjoy a rewarding break.

With a backdrop of Ingleborough, one of the challenging Three Peaks, we overlook the charming St Oswald's parish church, a favourite of Sherlock Holmes author Sir Arthur Canon Doyle's, who married his first wife here.

Just off the A65, the main arterial trunk road through Yorkshire to the Lake District, we are easily accessed yet blissfully quiet, and from here you can explore the Lake District, The Yorkshire Dales and The Trough of Bowland.
