Westfield House is located in a quiet rural area 5 miles out of Elgin. The bed and breakfast is situated on the family arable farm. The spring barley grown on the farm goes to making malt whisky.
Veronica will welcome you into the house where the bedrooms are warm and inviting. There are two twin ensuite bedrooms and a single room with a separate bathroom. There is a sitting room with tv for guests. Breakfast is in the large dining room.
There is a huge choice of things to do, take a trip round the distilleries, shop in Johnston?s Woolen Mill or go for a walk on one of the beaches such as, Hopeman, Burghead, Findhorn to name but a few.
If it is golf you are looking for again Lossiemouth, Hopeman, Forres, Nairn and Castle Stuart are all close. Go and visit Cawdor Castle, Brodie Castle, Fort George and venture off to see the Lochness monster!!
For dinner there are places within a short car drive. Veronica is happy to book a table for you.
Directions: From Elgin, A96 west for Forres and Inverness, after 2.5 miles, right onto B9013 for Burghead, after 1 mile signed right at cross roads continue to Westfield House and office.
Westfield House is only 3 miles from the historic town of Elgin, with the ruins of its large 13th century cathedral, renowned biblical gardens and famous Elgin Museum. Sandy beaches on the Moray Firth are a short drive away and the countryside around Spynie and Elgin is ideal for walking.
Spynie Palace, former residence of the Bishops of Moray is well worth a visit. Further afield, the 'Malt Whisy Trail', taking in many great distilleries, is within easy driving distance, as is Inverness - gateway to world famous Loch Ness. John and Veronica have detailed knowledge and a love of the area and will ensure that their guests are able to derive maximum benefit from their stay.
