Glenwood Glamping, Morar offers a small glamping pod perfect for a couples romantic getaway.
The pod sleeps 2, in a bed on a mezzanine floor, the mattress is a self inflating Andes Explora 10cm double mattress. Pillows and bedding is provided along with towels, only one set. If you require more please bring them with you.
The Pod has a shower, toilet and sink, kitchen area and a seating area outside with BBQ. Kitchen has microwave, toaster, kettle, small 2 ring electric hob, fridge, cutlery, plates, pots and pans. There is a couch with small electric log burner type fire. Electricity is also included in the price. The shower and hot water are supplied by a gas boiler.
A starter kit of tea, coffee, sugar, marmalade and one toilet roll is provided on arrival.
A small hamper for your first mornings breakfast can be provided. This comes at an extra cost and must be paid separately. They also offer Prosecco package for that special occasion which must also be paid separately. Please ask for either of these at time of booking.
Glenwood Glamping is a beautiful new pod nestled into the hill. It is located a very short walk from Camusdarroch beach and the silver sands of Morar.
There is a trekking centre right next door that do lovely beach treks, there is also a the small fishing port of Mallaig 4 miles away where you can go on wildlife cruises, take the ferry to the small isles or the Isle of Skye for a day trip. There are several restaurants and cafes serving lots of amazing dishes with local seafood.
Arisaig is about 4 miles away and there you can also catch the MV Shearwater for some wildlife cruising or take day trips to the small isles, they have a cafe on the pier with lots of lovely home baking. There is a lovely 9 hole golf course just over a mile away that has spectacular views over the beach. Plenty of beautiful walks to be taken also.
There is a bus service that goes past the pod, a train service that stops in Morar station a couple of miles away and a taxi service, the owners suggest pre booking any taxis as they can be very busy in the summer months.
