Craighead is a traditional Scottish stone built farmhouse and steading near Dunblane, Perthshire, Scotland and has been our family home since 1989. Unique in its quiet country setting, you will be surrounded by natural gardens, a lochan and woodland areas, share wonderful views, sunsets and privacy, yet thanks to our location be ideally placed for easy access to some of Scotland?s finest country and tourist attractions.
Our bespoke, handcrafted collection of glamping options offer you a personal, unique and secluded space for a different experience of the outdoors. You have a choice between the Wee Howf, the Summer Howf, the Tree Howf and two Hobbit Howfs. Each has its own little slice of our grounds offering privacy with great views. We have a delightful array of animals that always love to chat.
The Wee Howf is a secluded romantic getaway. It is quite simply unique and lets you experience glamorous camping - on the shores of our lochan.
The Summer Howf offers a garden glamping experience. With a truly garden feel inside and out you are immersed in our country garden.
The Tree Howf, a wonderful creation beautifully crafted high around the tree. Amazing views, gorgeous interior, privacy and bucket loads of quirkiness.
We are very excited to be opening our two luxury Hobbit Howfs. Discover earthly living in these hillside retreats which will transport you to the land of Lord of the Rings. Built internally from stone and oozing charm and uniqueness they sit in the shire and are surrounded by rolling hills. We look forward to welcoming you to your little slice of Scottish heaven!
Craighead Farm is located near Dunblane in the Perthshire countryside. All our glamping units are discreetly built in the grounds to offer each one privacy and lovely views. We are ideally placed out in the lovely countryside but due to our location you are in very easy striking distance of some of the best Scotland has to offer, with only a 10 minute drive to the main A9 you can soon be on your way. Dunblane train station is only a 15 minute drive away offering you the option taking the train to visit Edinburgh and Glasgow. For that special night out you can treat your self to some very special local places to eat including Cromlix House - five minutes away, Gleneagles and many more. Leave your car at home and take a taxi for your evening out.
