Heart of the Glens Festival is held in and around the village of Cushendall in the the beautiful Glens of Antrim.
Cushendall lies at the heart of the Glens, hence the name. There are over 100 events taking place during the week starting Saturday 3rd August until Sunday 11th August.
This is the 29th year of The Heart of the Glens Festival, it is managed by a small group of locally based dedicated volunteers. The group meet throughout the year to draft a programme of events which begins on the first weekend of August every year. Events during the week include those firmly established in the festival calendar such as the Lurig Challenge Run, Lorry and Float Parade, Glens Vintage Day, and Ireland's Longest Waves of Tory. In addition to the more regular events we have new and exciting themes and activities for young and old to enjoy!
The festival enhances the tourism potential of our village. We welcome all visitors to the Causeway Coast and Glens.
We receive sponsorship from local businesses every year and funding from Causeway Coast and Glens Council
