The Fleece Hotel

5 Victoria Road, Richmond, North Yorkshire, DL10 4DW

4 Star
The Fleece Hotel Richmond is a fabulous Victorian gothic architecture building that was originally opened as a hotel in 1897. The grade II listed building has been fully restored and redeveloped with a modern interior that retains many original features including a fabulous staircase, stained glass windows and architectural gems around the building. It now operates as a high quality boutique hotel, café bar and restaurant.

All of the designer bedrooms are individually decorated and themed on aspects of Richmond, the Yorkshire Dales and Moors and many of which have stunning views across the rooftops of the town towards the Norman Castle Keep and the attractive countryside around Richmond. The café-bar is an informal space that is open all day from breakfast onwards and where meals, snacks, coffee and afternoon tea is served, plus a wide range of wine, craft ales, spirits and cocktails. Decor is bright and sophisticated, includes art works by local artists and is furnished with contemporary and comfortable seating.

Menus are prepared using local ingredients and our small plates service provides a wide range of taste and portion size options to cater for every palate and appetite. The restaurant offers a high quality meal experience that, like the café-bar menu includes food prepared with local ingredients, some of which are grown in our own kitchen garden. The emphasis is on taste and presentation and with the opportunity to match food with beverages all experienced in a stylish and historic room served by our flock of attentive team members.
Situated in historic Richmond in North Yorkshire, the Fleece Hotel can be found on Victoria Road close the bustling market square and a short walk from the famous Norman castle. Three car parks nearby have spaces for hotel guests for which we provide free permits. The attractive Friary Garden is opposite the hotel and Richmond Museum is a five minute walk from the hotel plus the countrys oldest working theatre, the Georgian Theatre Royal is right next door.
