West Down Guest House is an AA award winning guest house set in Glorious North Devon, between the Exmoor National Park and the rugged North Devon coastline. Providing a range of quaint fishing villages and bustling market towns such as of Barnstaple, Torrington, Umberleigh and Bideford to explore.

We are proud winners of the AA 4 Star Gold Award and Breakfast Award. We have been awarded the AA Dinner Award every year since 1997 for the excellence of our home cooked meals using local produce. We are regularly complimented on our warm friendly welcome which starts with fresh baked home baked cakes and tea on arrival with our compliments.

West Down Guest House is located in Glorious North Devon twelve miles south of the market town of Barnstaple on the A377 outside the village of Atherington. We are close to the country towns of South Molton, Torrington and Umberleigh. Travel to West Down by road via the M5 and A361 (J27) or by rail to Barnstaple or National Coach to Barnstaple and South Molton.
