WHEEMS GLAMPING PODS, South Ronaldsay are located on an ecological and organic 6 hectare horticulture and animal smallholding, producing organic food for a local market. Wheems farm buildings are 200 years old and have been renovated using local, traditional and sustainable materials. Wheems farmland has been sensitively landscaped with areas set aside for conservation, areas carved out with stone dyke walling, and areas of tree planting.

The glamping pods are small (8'10" x 6'6" or 2.7m x 2m) wooden structures, designed and built on the farm, resembling the traditional upturned boat shelter, offer lined and insulated accommodation for those who prefer not to travel ladened with tent, bedding and cooking equipment.

They look out to sea through fully glazed double doors and provide an indoor/outdoor living option with their outdoor deck, very helpful for our changeable weather.

Bicycles and vehicles can be parked discreetly beside the cabins. We have a shed available for bicycles if needed. Inside, a simple platform provides double or single bed options or raised seating.

Each pod is provided with bedding (optional), a heater, water container, rechargeable lamp and hot water bottles etc.

The pods fit up to four people but we recommend two to three quests for more space.
Wheems Glamping Pods face south and east on a hillside above sea-cliffs and beaches, on South Ronaldsay, the Orkney Islands, Scotland. On Orkney there is nature, peace, space and sky.
