Lammerlaw Farm Cottage is a beautifully presented self catering holiday property, having been awarded a 4 star rating by Visit Scotland, set in a rural location on a working farm and provides an excellent base to explore the Scottish Borders, Dumfries and Galloway, Glasgow, Edinburgh and the coastal beaches of East Lothian, all within an hours drive.

A peaceful and relaxing property, this lovely Cottage enjoys a quiet location with stunning views and is surrounded by a well maintained, secure garden with access to a small and secure woodland area for children's play, in addition to a further fenced off area where football can be enjoyed safely by small enthusiasts!

Comfortably catering for four guests, this single storey property has a double bedroom, with a king size bed and a further twin room. An additional fold up bed is available on request, as is a baby travel cot.

The bathroom offers both a bath and separate shower, providing easy access for guests with mobility considerations.

The living room / lounge complete with a log burner, offers simply stunning views towards the Southern Upland Hills and has a Smart TV and a selection of books, games and maps of local walks to be enjoyed by guests.

The kitchen is well appointed and offers all that would be required for a very comfortable stay, including a fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, clothes air dryer, microwave, toaster, oven and hob, tassimo coffee machine and cafetiere (french press) and DAB radio.

There is a sun room, leading off the kitchen, which offers a smaller seating area where a peaceful coffee may be enjoyed or, for younger guests, where a wall mounted tv, with DVD player and Wii console lives, together with a few Wii games.

To ensure a comfortable stay, all bedding and linens are provided throughout with a hairdryer included for guest use.

A weekly clean is offered for those enjoying longer visits. For guests with mobility concerns, there is easy access into the property at the rear, with a gently sloping ramp leading from the car parking area.

Heated throughout using a renewable heat source, the electricity for the Cottage is supplied by our own wind turbines, with all surplus electricity fed back to the National Grid. We enjoy our own water supply, from our hill.

The Cottage is well positioned to enjoy a peaceful break, in addition to having easy access to Scotland's capital city, Edinburgh where many guests have enjoyed the annual Edinburgh Festival and Book Festivals and trips to Murrayfield, the heart of Scottish Rugby. Walking, watersports, cycling, mountain biking, shopping and dining are all within easy reach, and there are lots of lovely Borders towns with many independent shopping options and places of historical interest to explore nearby.

Locally, the Biggar Science Festival each September and 'Biggar Little Festival' each October have proved very popular for guests, as has our local agricultural show every July. On New Years Eve, the 'Biggar Bonfire' provides an amazing spectacle for all to enjoy at the end of every year and to welcome in the start of the New Year.

In light of the 2020 global Covid-19 Pandemic, we have carefully carried out a risk assessment for the Cottage and have put in place strict new cleaning protocols, in line with Government Guidelines and followed the advice of the Association of Scottish Self Caterers.

We have completed an accredited training course, to fully prepare us for the new cleaning requirements and have also achieved our Good to Go certificate from Visit Scotland, ensuring the safety of our Guests and our small team.
