The cottage is an old mill house, converted and maintained to the highest standard. Downstairs is a well equipped kitchen/dining room, bathroom, one double-bedded room and one twin-bedded room. Upstairs is a large sitting room with picture windows giving spectacular views to the surrounding countryside. Wildlife abounds with badgers, deer, foxes, hares, as well as buzzards, goshawks, herons, oyster catchers, pheasants, partridge, being just a few of the species regularly seen on the farm.
Millhouse is an ideal centre for walking, cycling or just chilling out in the beautiful Borders countryside. The nearby town of Jedburgh is full of history with the Abbey, Mary Queen of Scots House and the historical jail all interesting places to visit. Millhouse is on a 1000 acre working farm, mostly arable, and visitors are welcome to walk or to watch farming operations.
Millhouse is situated on a working farm 3 miles to the east of Jedburgh in one of the most beautiful valleys in Scotland. The cottage has stunning views across the valley to the Cheviot Hills where there is first class walking to suit everyone. It is 50 miles form Edinburgh and 60 from Newcastle. There are plenty restaurants and pubs in Jedburgh and the surrounding area as well as shops and a co-op supermarket in Jedburgh itself.
