Lochenbreck Byre, Laurieston offers comfortable self catering accommodation for up to 4 people which has been furnished to a high standard with disabled access and a wet room.

If you are looking for peace and quiet then that is something that can be guaranteed, no rush hour, no pollution and although the owners live in the Farmhouse close to the Byre, hopefully that is an advantage as they are available, on site, to assist in anyway they can.

Lochenbreck Byre comprises of: -

2 x Double Bedrooms, one with a king sized bed.
Bathroom with bath and shower.
Wet Room with shower, basin, toilet and clothes airer.
Large vaulted living room/garden room with wood burning stove, 50 inch plasma television and DVD player.

Lochenbreck Byre is situated in Laurieston Forest, 3 miles west of Laurieston on the edge of the Galloway Forest Park.

Local towns are Castle Douglas (10m), Gatehouse of Fleet (7m) and Kirkcudbright (13m)

Just a short walk away from Lochenbreck Byre is Lochenbreck Loch (Lake of Trouts), a beautiful 40 acre loch. When you rent the Byre you automatically become members of the Gatehouse and Kirkcudbright Angling Association. This entitles you to fish free of charge at Lochenbreck Loch or Loch Whinyeon (a 120 acre loch a few miles away).

Lochenbreck is fully stocked with Rainbow Trout with 350 fish stocked each month for 7 months of the season including 5 large fish. Loch Whinyeon has Brown Trout only and is not stocked.

There is a wide range of activities in the area and a good starting point is to have a look at the Visit Scotland web site.
