Situated within private grounds of an acre with a riverside woodland, terraced gardens, jetty and foreshore, this home from home has been in the same family for over 65 years. With no neighbours or owners, you can enjoy complete privacy when you holiday here. For those who love the outdoor life, a sturdy rowing dinghy is provided in the rent (she is available from Easter until the end of October). Fishing is possible too from either the boat or foreshore; bring your kayaks and paddle boards and explore this peaceful area of the river, which has abundant bird life too.
Inside, this well maintained cottage has all you need. The light and airy kitchen looks over the garden and river, as do all the rooms, and is fully equipped. The new luxury bathroom has under floor heating, is on the ground floor and serves the nearby Garden Room. Step inside the carpeted lounge, a long room, with original features and a luxurious sofa and armchairs to relax in after a day out exploring. Up the wooden staircase is the Children's and adjacent Master bedroom. With solid pitch pine doors and wooden floors with soft rugs, these two rooms are well furnished and have quality beds and linen. A few paces from the oak front door and inside the private grounds, is the fully carpeted Garden Room. A large wall mounted TV is provided for those guests who sleep here, along with the peaceful and wonderful view.
