Hillside Croft is an exquisite Peak District self catering country cottage situated in a peaceful rural location within the beautiful Derbyshire Dales, edging the Peak District National Park and neighbouring the Staffordshire Moorlands.

A cosy, Grade II listed, sandstone cottage, Hillside Croft features heavy oak beams throughout, pretty stone-mullioned and leaded windows, and a wealth of revealed timber and stonework. Handmade, antique pine furniture throughout, and stone ground floors, rugs and add extra character, while matched furnishings, log stoves downstairs and central heating throughout make for an especially warm and comfortable environment.

The cottage comfortably sleeps 5 to 14 people. There are five bedrooms, four double and one twin giving a sleeping capacity of 10. In addition, within these rooms, there are four single beds and two single bed-chairs, giving a total sleeping capacity of up to 16.

Our characterful, homely farmhouse kitchen is a delight, consisting of handmade antique pine kitchen units, a double French pottery sink, granite surfaces and a tiled floor. Looking out onto a picturesque rear garden, with various herbs, blackberries and fruit trees planted for the gourmet in you, it is perfect for hosting large groups of friends and family! The kitchen comes with a full electric halogen cooker with a double oven, a slow cooker and a microwave, a fridge and a fridge-freezer, a dishwasher, a washing machine and a tumble drier, as well as an adjoining WC by the rear entrance.

Next to the kitchen is the dining room, comfortably seating 10 to 12 at its large farmhouse table, with extra seating for up to 16 and all the crockery you might need. With a log burner set under an impressive inglenook fireplace, it offers a particularly comfortable space for eating, drinking and playing games!

Across the main entrance from the dining room is a separate lounge area, with three sofas and one comfy chair comfortably seating 10. The lounge comes with a HDTV and Freeview, a DVD player and a packed bookcase, ideal for when you just want to relax!

All of the inviting bedrooms are light and warm, overlooking our beautiful landscaped gardens, including an en-suite master bedroom, with its own power shower, WC and wash basin and shaving sockets. Two of the rooms come with LCD TVs and all of the rooms come with a hairdryer.

A fabulous, spacious master bathroom completes the layout, with a large Victorian-style, roll-topped bath and shower, a separate walk-in power shower, a WC and a wash basin and shaving sockets. A potty and a WC stand are provided for children.

This charming country cottage is surrounded by landscaped, flower-filled gardens including a well-fenced nature pond and undulating pastureland. Bustling with birds and rich with wildlife, the wider area and its footpaths are wonderful to explore or take a stroll! Concluding this pretty picture, Hillside Croft has a sheltered patio area with a hardwood table and chairs, an umbrella, barbeque, chimenea and hot tub, perfect after a hard day's relaxing!

A large, off-road, private parking area is readily accessible next to the property.
Located in the attractive Derbyshire Dales close to the Peak District National Park and the Staffordshire Moorlands, Hillside Croft is conveniently placed to take advantage of a wide range of places of interest, activities, market towns and villages.

Places of interest include: Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Biddulph Grange, Peveril Castle, Lichfield Cathedral and Calke Abbey, Blue John Caves, Black Rock and Arbor Low, and Alton Towers and Gulliver's Kingdom.

Activities include: walking, cycling, horse riding, water sports, climbing, pot holing, quad biking, paintballing, archery and clay pigeon shooting, to name a few.
