Presenter Laurence Llewelyn Bowen was won over by this pocket paradise on the Isle of Wight. With shared gardens and stunning lake, this beautifully converted detached single storey barn enjoys a superb elevated location. Approached alongside the owners home with gently sloping path access, the Boathouse is at the heart of this glorious award winning Victorian garden that has been featured in national magazines including Homes and Gardens. Recently and stylishly converted, the property offers all the comforts of home inside, and outside a private terrace, deck and furniture. Guests are encouraged to use all the gardens and grounds as if they were their own!

Open-plan living/dining room/kitchen, limed oak floor.
Double bedroom, skylight and feature limestone floor, ensuite bathroom with shower attachment, toilet.

All services: electricity, radiators, bed linen, towels are included.

Bookings are normally a minimum of seven nights from, Saturday to Saturday, but this can be negotiable at certain times of the year. Open from 1 May to 30 October.

Regret no babies or children under 16 yrs for reasons of insurance due to unfenced lake. The accommodation is not suitable for pets, and we request that guests do not smoke in the cottage.

The Boathouse is within sight of the sea, and surrounded by the beautiful AONB countryside of the Undercliff of the Island. The Undercliff enjoys a specially protected micro climate that is thought to be one of the warmest locations in the UK. Although situated on a private road, the Boathouse is within easy distance by car of Ventnor (for pubs and restaurants), and all the local attractions the Island has to offer, including sailing, golf, fishing, riding, plus spectacular coastal and downland walks.
