Ardochy House Cottages

Glengarry, Invergarry, Inverness-shire, PH35 4HR

Stunning views over Loch Garry and the mountains beyond
Ardochy House Cottages, Glengarry, consists of three self-catering cottages, the owner's house and barn set around a cobbled courtyard, with stunning views over Loch Garry and the mountains beyond.

It was built originally as an 18th century Shooting Lodge, and retains many of the original features, now converted into 3 star holiday accommodation.

There are 35 acres of fields and woods to explore, and 1/3 mile of Loch frontage to walk along with fishing rights.

Shepherd's Cottage was the original farmhouse cottage here with origins dating back some 300 years - which have been refurbished and upgraded extensively. A popular cottage for couples, or small families.

Keeper's Cottage was renovated from what were the original farmhouse kitchens and larder, much of the original wood paneling has been retained, as well as the original slate floors. This large cottage sleeps six people in three bedrooms, a double and twin bedroom upstairs and a twin bedroom downstairs. This is a favourite cottage with walking and fishing parties and larger families. The Keeper's Cottage has the feel of a traditional cottage and retains many of the features of the old shooting lodge. This cottage is themed with some of the equipment and artefacts which a gamekeeper would have around. There is also a collection of (empty) whisky bottles that you are welcome to add to!

Grieve's House sleeps 4/5 people in two bedrooms. This cottage is a popular choice for families with older children or two couples sharing. A Grieve is the farm manager in Scotland, so the owners have a created a deceptively spacious cottage which is worthy of manager status.
Ardochy House Cottages are peacefully situated round a cobbled courtyard, on the shores of Loch Garry, looking south over the loch and the mountains beyond.

The cottages are 7 miles from Invergarry, 2 miles along the Tomdoun/ Kinlochourn road off the A87 from Invergarry to Kyle of Lochalsh in the West Highlands of Scotland.

Ardochy is beautifully situated for touring the West Highlands with Skye, Speyside, Ben Nevis, Loch Ness, and Inverness within easy reach.
