Corran Cottages offering self catering accommodation are located on the sea front in the picturesque village of Shieldaig in the North West Highlands of Scotland. Located opposite the pier where boats can be launched. Both properties have enclosed gardens with garden furniture.

The Cottage was originally built in the mid 1800's and was renovated and extended to a high modern standard a few years ago. It is a comfortable holiday home sleeping five with the character of a traditional cottage but the convenience of modern facilities. It is warm and cosy with oil fired central heating throughout and a multi-fuel stove in the sitting room. A garden room opens off the main sitting room and french doors lead to the rear garden. It has 3 bedrooms, all with stunning views of Loch Shieldaig. The master bedroom has a super king bed and an en-suite shower room. The family bedroom has a super king bed and a separate single bed and the third bedroom is a single. There is a family bathroom with claw foot bath and under floor heating and separate shower room.

Pier House is a substantial newly built house which has been designed to provide comfortable modern accommodation for six guests all in en-suite rooms. It is warm and cosy with oil-fired under-floor heating throughout and a multi-fuel stove in the main sitting room. The spacious living accommodation includes 2 sitting rooms. The main sitting room is on the first floor to take full advantage of the beautiful views across Loch Shieldaig. It has a multi-fuel stove and is equipped with a smart satellite TV. There is an additional downstairs sitting room which has french doors to the garden. There are three bedrooms, all of which have lovely views of the loch or Ben Shieldaig. All the bedrooms have king size beds and en-suite shower rooms - the large family room has an additional single bed. One bedroom is on the ground floor and has an en-suite wet room. It is well suited to anyone with mobility problems. There is disabled access to Pier House and off road parking. There is also a family bathroom on the ground floor.

Both properties have large well equipped kitchens and excellent washing and drying facilities. Land line telephones and wireless broadband internet connections are provided for your convenience. All linen and fuel are supplied together with household essentials such as washing up liquid and washing powder. There are plenty of maps, books, games, puzzles and DVDs available together with extensive tourist information and walking guides.

From April to the end of October they will only take weekly bookings but short breaks are available over the winter months - please see their website - www.shieldaig.scot for tariff and availability.

Changeover day for The Cottage is SUNDAY.

Changeover day for Pier House is FRIDAY.
Corran Cottages are at the southern end of Shieldaig village which has many useful amenities. There is a village shop and a hotel with restaurant and an attached bar which serves meals. Nanny's, just along the Corran, is a cafe/gift shop also selling local seafood and there is a smokehouse at the far end of the village.

Inverness is only 90 minutes away with excellent road, rail and air connections to the rest of the UK and beyond.

Surrounded by the Torridon Mountains and Loch Shieldaig this beautiful remote area is the perfectlocation for those visitors who enjoy outdoor activities on sea or land. The spectacular scenery offers unique photographic opportunitiesat any time of year.
