Shannon View, Labasheeda is a traditional authentic farmhouse house offering self catering holiday accommodation with a view sleeping 4 - 6 guests.
Once you walk through the front door you'll find a traditional kitchen with dining room adjoining. As a guest of the home you have access to an Aga stove which provides nice warmth and is wonderful to cook with, also on the ground floor is a bathroom with shower. Once you walk up the stairs you will find three bedrooms and a bathroom with a free standing bath.
On a sunny day, why not unwind in the rose garden to the front with outdoor seating to help you enjoy the panoramic River views. From this holiday home one can enjoy day trips to Loop Head, Cliffs of Moher, Burren National Park, Kerry, Galway and Limerick. Just two kms away we have recently had sightings of bottle-nosed dolphin. (That's our little secret though!)
In the evenings enjoy the open fire in one of the two lounges which is housed in one of the sheds. The three bedrooms accommodate up to 6 people comfortably and are left in the original country style, with comfortable bedding.
Shanoon View Farmhouse is a magical and elevated site overlooking the River Shannon and situated just outside the village of Labasheeda, less than 20kms from Kilrush in County Clare.
Labasheeda is a quiet little village beautifully located at the banks of the Shannon, and about halfway on the coast road between Ennis and Kilrush. Shannon View Farmhouse is located on a hill just outside village with stunning views on the Shannon river (see pictures below). The peninsula beyond the house with its quiet country lanes is ideal for walking and bicycling!
The Shannon offers plenty of possibilities for shore angling. Labasheeda has a new pier with a fine picnic area and boat mooring installations.
The sights of West Clare, the Cliffs of Moher, the Atlantic beaches, Ennis with its shopping streets as well as the market town of Kilrush are in easy driving distance. Kilrush is 20 mins. away and has a fine marina, start point for dolphin watching tours and the boats to historic Scattery Island. The Killimer Shannon Car Ferry is just 15 minutes away, making it easy to explore the neighbouring counties of Limerick and Kerry.
