Berry Barton enjoys a sheltered position on the edge of the pretty coastal village of Branscombe. It is a 300 acre dairy farm, with its land stretching along the cliffs to include over a mile of coastline. Camping pitches available with the following facilities: 3 fields for camping. We let modern six berth caravans, all of which benefit from open rural views across the site and adjoining farmland. They all have mains electricity and water, well equipped kitchen with full size cookers and electric refridgerators, modern shower rooms with flush toilet as well as colour televisions and heating.
Branscombe is one of East Devons prettiest villages. Its thatched cottages standing against a backdrop of National Trust Land. The road through the village winds past the Post Office Stores, the Norman Church, working Forge and forks off to the beach. There are numerous walks in the area which is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. the Heritage coastal Path runs along the headland and is a popular walk for both visitors and local people. Sidmouth is the nearest town and offers excellent shopping, cinema and local theatre, together with good sandy beach at low tide. The fishing village of Beer lies about 3 miles to the east with its range of places to eat and enjoy a traditional Devon cream tea. Boating and fishing trips are available from the Cove and further along the coast at Lyme Regis famous for its Cobb and harbour.
