Yew Tree Cottage welcomes you with its 19th century charm and all the amenities of the 21st century. The self-catering cottage boasts exposed beams, a fully equipped kitchen and a contemporary bathroom.

This cottage has an open plan ground floor and is a charming option for weekend family and friend meet-ups, a short stay with your dogs, or even for guests passing through on business.

Travellers, historians, writers, painters and fisherman alike will love the vast amounts of countryside walking, the 11th century St Remigius church next door, the large grounds and riverside vistas available, as well as our wonderful seasonally open outdoor swimming pool. Take in a stunning sunset or cosy up by the fireplace with a great book. The choice is yours.

If you have a dog/pet and wish to book with us, please call before booking to make sure we are able to accommodate your needs. We accept small to medium (max 20kgs) sized dogs.

Our seasonally heated swimming pool situated within our walled garden that is for cottage guests only. We do not allow day visitors to use the pool in order to protect the privacy and experience of our other guests.

Yew Tree Cottage in Cambridgeshire is located on the banks of the River Nene (Lock 29) in the small hamlet of Water Newton just outside Peterborough and just off the A1 as you head north towards Wansford and Stamford, Lincolnshire.

Water Newton is a tiny village in the style of a Cotswold stone village surrounded by open countryside, farmlands and birdlife wetlands with activities such as a steam railway, skydiving, an educational farm for children and the Nene Park Trust with its myriad of family activity centres.
