Hillscroft, Treknow near Trebarwith, is a self catering cottage consisting of 3 bedrooms (1 king,1 double, 1 single + bunk beds) and 3 bathrooms (2 en-suite, 1 on the ground floor, all with showers), a large well-equipped kitchen, L- shaped sitting and dining room with lovely views, and a cosy separate TV/ living room (with sofa bed).

The terraced garden is to the side of the cottage and as such enjoys a sunny aspect virtually all day. The elevated terraces all have fabulous views across the valley - a great place to barbecue, have a drink and sit and watch the sun go down.

(Charcoal BBQ and sun loungers also provided)

The garden is completely enclosed so safe for both children and dogs but care must be taken with young children as there are some quite steep steps up to the garden.

The cottage has off road parking for 3 cars. Up to 2 well behaved dogs are allowed by prior arrangement for GBP50 per dog.

Bed linen and bath towels are provided for 7 guests, but please bring your own beach towels. If you require bed linen and bath towels for the sofa bed there is a fee of GBP40 per stay/week. A discount of GBP25 per booking may be offered for a two person only occupancy of the house outside of the peak periods.
Hillscroft is a 10 minute walk through fields or along the coastal path (5 minute drive) to the popular surfing beach of Trebarwith Strand which has life guards on duty between mid-May and the end of September. There is a small Surf shop for board hire and The Strand Cafe which is great for drinks and light snacks.

The Port William pub sits in an elevated position on the cliff top above the beach and is a fabulous place to sit and have a drink whilst watching the most amazing sunsets.
The Mill House Inn is also just a short walk from the cottage (5 mins) down the road and serves delicious meals using a variety of local produce. It also has a pool table, a warming fire in the winter and often has live music.

In addition, the cottage is close to the popular fishing village of Port Isaac (famous fish restaurants and filming location for the Doc Martin TV series) and also Boscastle with its picturesque harbour.

Inland it is a short drive to Bodmin Moor and the popular Camel Trail for walking and cycling.

Restaurants close by; Port William Pub and Strand Cafe (Trebarwith Strand) and Mill House Inn (Treknow) all within walking distance.

Close by in Port Gaverne/Port Isaac including two fish restaurants run by Nathan Outlaw.

Fish and Chips/Cafes and local shops are 5 mins away in Tintagel.

For keen walkers both Port Isaac and Boscastle are excellent if quite challenging coastal walks (approx. 4hrs from Hillscroft) but there are many other easier walking options close by with beautiful flowers to be seen along the coastal paths particularly in the Spring and early Summer months.

The English Heritage site at Tintagel Castle is approx 1.5 miles along the South West Coastal path (5 minute drive) and has the exciting addition of the recently opened dramatic contemporary footbridge to the Castle with its myths and legends of King Arthur.
