Holly Lodge, Appleby in Westmorland, our secluded, dog friendly self-catering cottage built 1894 as a museum was fully refurbished in 2015. It has a fully accessible ground floor with a double/twin bedroom. Large open plan lounge/diner with wood burning stove, kitchen, wet-room with bath. Two further rooms & a shower room upstairs gives a total of 7 beds. Own patio.

Sitting in 3 acres of shared grounds and woodland with a pond & spring and summer wild flower meadows, we provide the perfect base to explore by foot cycle or car. Secure cycle storage. Charging point for electric cars & mobility scooters. Plenty of off-road parking. Free Wi-Fi.

Holly Lodge is a charming holiday cottage located in the Eden Valley on the edge of the historic market town of Appleby.

Our dog friendly cottage is an ideal relaxing retreat with the Pennine hills and Pennine Way nearby, perfect for those on a walking or cycling holiday. Near 2 national cycle trails, the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales are also only a short drive away - Ullswater 17 miles, Kirkby Stephen 13 miles - a good central location for touring the area.

We have a wonderful variety of birds in our 3 acres of garden and woodland. Wild flowers abound in our spring and summer flower meadows, together with large pond at the end of the garden. By the pond you see a panoramic view of the Northern Pennines & High Cup Nick.
