Weirford House is located in Sampford Courtenay, one of the prettiest villages in West Devon. It is in a conservation area and is totally unspoilt with a predominance of ancient thatched cottages and a historic church. There is a good village pub, just two minutes' walk away.

The village has a fascinating history as it was the home of the Prayer Book Rebellion of 1549 and the final battle was fought here. Weirford House is near the centre of the village and benefits from far reaching uninterrupted views of the Devon countryside. Many visitors comment on the peace and quiet of our surroundings.

We are ten minutes from the A30 at Whiddon Down, half an hour from Exeter and ten minutes from Okehampton with its new railway service to Exeter, the Dartmoor Line.

The village is well situated for touring as just ten minutes' drive will take you to the northern edge of Dartmoor. The north and south Devon coasts and Exmoor National Park are within easy reach. It is also easy to pop over the border into Cornwall and explore both the north and south coasts.
We have lived here for twenty years but still find new places to enjoy if we have a free day.
