Arboyne House is in the heart of the Welsh Marches/Borders and is at the centre of Eardisley, a historic Black and White Herefordshire village.
Arboyne House has flexible accommodation, so whether you are looking for a cottage for 2, family accommodation for 4 to 6, or a group stay for up to 10, we look forward to welcoming you. The house is full of history and character, but we also ensure you have a really comfortable stay.
All guests can: use the spacious courtyard for parking, enjoy the beautiful garden, use the laundry facilities in The Wash House and Arboyne Studio for those who like being creative. We welcome well behaved pets. A cot and high chair is available for babies. We have secure bicycle storage.
THE BAKEHOUSE really is an old Bakehouse, complete with the original cast iron bread oven. Nowadays, it makes a cosy, detached retreat for two. There is a characterful living room with wood burning stove (and central heating), beams and cosy reading corners, but also WiFi and smart TV. Upstairs there is a well equipped galley kitchen leading to a spacious, comfortable bedroom which can be set up as a 6ft superking bed or twin beds. We will prepare your room with lovely white bed linen, towels and toiletries. The bedroom has ensuite shower and wash basin and there is a separate WC at the top of the stairs. Outside The Bakhouse has a patio with bistro table and chairs, perfect for breakfast on a sunny morning, and guests are always welcome to enjoy the Arboyne House garden.
HOLLY LODGE, accessed up external oak stairs, has the flexibility or two or three bedrooms to best suit your needs. Families and groups of friends love Holly Lodge. We have books and games if you have children staying, It is light, spacious accommodation, for 4 to 6, on the first floor of Arboyne House. Both the large living room and the well equipped kitchen/diner have views looking out beyond the village to the countryside. Full of historic character with beams and exposed stone, there is also good WiFi and a smart TV. There is a romantic 4 poster bedroom with large sash window, and a smaller Blue and White room which can be single, small twin or single with child's cot. The optional Oak Room, with an ancient oak door and solid oak floorboards, can be prepared as a 6 ft superking bed or twin beds. This room has ensuite WC/basin. There is a good sized family shower room. Guests are welcome to use the Arboyne House garden.
For larger groups requiring and additional bedroom the ensuite PANEL ROOM is available.

The village has 2 friendly pubs, a cafe and shop. The beautiful garden looks over meadows to The Black Mountains in Wales.
This is an unspoilt, undiscovered area to explore. A perfect base to visit characterful border towns such as Hay on Wye, Hereford, Leominster and Ludlow. Follow the Black and White Village Trail or the Herefordshire Cider Trail, both of which go through the village.
Enjoy the wide selection of gardens to visit, Made in the Marches galleries, browse for antiques and vintage finds, visit historic churches and castles and tempting tea rooms. If you enjoy a more active break, we have tennis, croquet and boules in the village, we are located between Kington with the highest golf course in England, and The River Wye renowned for canoeing and fishing.
This is a wonderful walking area with Offas Dyke footpath, The Herefordshire Trail, and The Wye Valley Walk, and off the beaten track footpaths. There are quiet lanes to cycle and open moorland for pony trekking. In Spring and early Summer our many nearby nature reserves are at their best. The renowned Hay Festival is at the end of May. Enjoy Summer village fetes, local shows and food markets. Autumn brings H Art across Herefordshire and Kington and Hay both have walking festivals. On shorter days enjoy cosy pubs with log fires, trees full of mistletoe and country Christmas traditions, wassailing in local cider orchards and visiting The Mappa Mundi in Hereford Cathedral.
