Lower Day Cottages

Lower Day House, Church Preen, Church Stretton, Shropshire, SY6 7LH

4 Star
Lower Day self catering cottages are four star quality self catering accommodation in the heart of the Shropshire countryside. Two cottages located on a central courtyard with private garden areas and safe parking.

The Long Barn is the larger of our two cottages and of single story construction. The building has been carefully restored to provide a high standard of holiday accommodation for up to four persons (with an additional sofa bed for occasional use) whilst retaining all of the original features and is fully insulated, double glazed and provided with electric central heating.

One of only two select cottages, Granary Cottage has been carefully renovated and furnished to a high standard to provide the ideal holiday accommodation for a family of four.

Lower Day Cottages are situated in ideal country for touring, walking, cycling, horse riding or just relaxing. Nearby, we have an equestrian centre, a selection of good quality public houses and restaurants (nearest 2 miles) and the market towns of Much Wenlock (5 miles) and Church Stretton (9 miles). Both towns have a selection of shops and interesting places to visit.
The location is rural with magnificent panoramic views. The Jack Mytton Way runs along the Wenlock Edge offering the accessibility of up to 100 miles of walking, horseriding and cycling in some of the most beautiful countryside in Britain and the Long Mynd in Church Stretton and The Stiperstones beyond also offer a great variety of circular walks ideal for the hill walking enthusiast combining the day with a pub lunch or a picnic. Both Granary Cottage and The Long Barn are maintained to four star quality. They are located on either side of the original farm courtyard and have ample off road parking and separate private gardens. We are centrally located for those wishing to visit the market towns of Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth, Ludlow and The Ironbridge Gorge Visitor Centre and close enough for day trips to mid and north Wales.
