Quarry House - award-winning self catering cottage with optional garden pod in the Staffordshire Peak District.
Quarry House is a beautifully renovated 19th-century detached stone cottage in Moneystone, set in the Staffordshire Peak District and just five minutes from the Peak District National Park.
Recognised for both its quality and hospitality, Quarry House has been awarded a VisitEngland 4 Star Gold Award as well as a prestigious VisitEngland ROSE Award for Service Excellence.
The cottage has two bedrooms and retains traditional features including original beams, fireplaces and quarry tiled floors. A secure garden wraps around the property, with a separate fenced paddock for exercising dogs and acres of woodland walks accessible from the back door. Up to three medium-sized dogs are welcome free of charge.
Inside, there is a comfortable sitting room with log burner and TV, a separate dining room and a well-equipped kitchen. The cottage has an upstairs shower room and a ground-floor wet room with assistance features, along with underfloor heating and quality bed linen and towels.
Families with younger children are well catered for with a cot/junior bed, high chair, stair gate, Moses basket and baby bath available. Outside facilities include a BBQ, while off-road parking is provided for two to three cars. An initial basket of logs and kindling is also included.
For additional accommodation, guests can book the insulated garden pod alongside the cottage, providing sleeping space for two people in either twin beds or a large double. The heated pod has its own WC and washbasin, TV, WiFi and wardrobe, making it particularly useful for teenagers or additional guests wanting their own space. The pod cannot be booked independently from Quarry House.
With woodland walks immediately accessible and the Peak District National Park nearby, guests can enjoy everything from peaceful countryside days to exploring historic houses, family attractions and the wider Staffordshire countryside.
