Sandend Cottage - sea view retreat above the beach on the Banffshire coast.
Sandend Cottage is set in the picturesque, get-away-from-it-all fishing village of Sandend, between the harbour towns of Cullen and Portsoy on the Moray Firth coast. This three bedroom cottage sleeps 5 and offers stunning views over the wide sandy beach from the kitchen, lounge and two front bedrooms.
The lounge has a three seater and two seater leather sofa, TV, DVD player, CD player, iPod docking station and a gas wood effect log burning stove for cosy evenings in. The fully fitted kitchen includes built in fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher, oven and a kitchen table with seating for five.
Sleeping arrangements include a master bedroom with king size bed, bedside tables, wardrobe, chest of drawers and clock radio, with a view to fall asleep to the sound of waves and pebbles on the shore. The twin bedroom has a feature fireplace, bedside tables, wardrobe, drawers and clock radio, again enjoying wonderful sea views and sounds. A single bedroom doubles as a quiet sitting area with a second TV and stereo, and has a door leading to the terrace at the rear of the cottage.
On the ground floor there is a modern bathroom with bath, toilet, wash hand basin and separate power shower. The utility room provides extra storage, sink, washing machine, tumble dryer and back door access. WiFi is available throughout, and on street parking is usually possible immediately outside the house, though guests are encouraged not to park in front of the windows to make the most of the view.
Outside, an enclosed elevated garden terrace with rockery, garden furniture and summer house is ideal for outdoor entertaining and barbecues, with care advised due to steep drops on one side. A rockery to the side of the house has a bench perfectly placed for morning coffee in the sunshine. The enclosed garden, back wet area and coastal walks from the door make Sandend Cottage a great choice for families, dog owners, walkers and surfers.
