Ardenstur House

Holiday Home in Kimelford, near Oban

Located on the shores of Loch Melfort
Ardenstur House, Kilmelford, offers pet friendly self catering holiday accommodation for all the family, and sleeps up to 10 people in 4 bedrooms.

The house has a ground floor family bedroom with four single beds, a ground floor double bedroom with wash basin, shower room, toilet, an open-plan lounge/diner with large FreeSat TV and open fire, a well-equipped kitchen and laundry room.

Upstairs there is a double bedroom, twin bedroom and a bathroom. Bed Linen and Towels are included. Cot and High Chair are available.

Thanks to an elevated position, Ardenstur House also has breathtaking views across Loch Melfort to the hills beyond. Outside, the house has a gravel terrace and picnic bench. The property has Wifi available.

The Estate's gardener regularly cuts grassy paths throughout the grounds to make the area very accessible for our visitors to explore. The network of paths lead to picnic areas with spectacular views across Loch Melfort, whilst others lead down to the shoreline and cobbled beaches.

The Estate is ideal for a large family gathering at any time of year, but especially in late winter and early spring, when all kinds of flora and fauna are buzzing and the weather creates dramatic scenery that has to be seen to be believed.

Ardenstur Estate has been welcoming holidaymakers to this corner of Scotland for nearly 50 years. Over the last four decades, we have slowly but lovingly restored the estate's ruins into habitable and comfortable self-catering holiday lets to allow others to marvel at this unspoilt Scottish gem.

For the more adventurous, there are many mountain walks and hill climbs around and about. Whilst on holiday you may be lucky enough to see red squirrels, otters, seals, Red and Roe deer, woodpeckers, treecreepers, buzzards and Golden eagles. The wide range of wild flowers around the cottages are not only beautiful, they encourage numerous insects including Dragon and Damsel flies and a variety of butterflies.
