Tanamuir - waterside cottage in the heart of Strachur, overlooking Loch Fyne.
Tanamuir is a charming, dog-friendly cottage set in the village of Strachur with beautiful views over Loch Fyne. The house accommodates up to 8 guests (either 7 adults, or 6 adults and 2 children) and is beautifully furnished throughout with loch views from every room.
The open-plan sitting/dining room has a wood-burning stove at its heart, with comfy seating to curl up on and a decked balcony beyond - perfect for sunsets over the water. Upstairs there is a spacious second lounge with a 2nd TV, so no arguments over what to watch, plus an extremely comfortable sofa bed suitable for one adult or two children.
The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Sleeping is arranged across 3 double bedrooms: two on the ground floor (one with en-suite shower room and one adjacent to a family bath/shower room) and a third double upstairs - each tastefully decorated for a great night's sleep.
Outside, parking is on the driveway for two cars. There is FREE EV CHARGING on site and an enclosed back garden that is safe for dogs.

There is a shop/post office/cafe just across the road, and the famous Creggans Inn is a short walk along the beach when the tide is right (or a few minutes via the road). This is a fantastic base for exploring Argyll - a pathway to the great outdoors with breathtaking views, wildlife on the doorstep, fishing, paddle boarding, kayaking, hikes and great wild swimming spots all just across the road from the house. It is the perfect place to unwind after an activity-filled day.
Oban is around 90 minutes away for day trips to the isles, boat trips and horse riding. There are great award-winning restaurants nearby, including the green Michelin-starred Inver in Strathlachlan a few miles along the road.
The small village of Strachur sits alongside Loch Fyne and has a shop/tea room/post office within a 5-minute walk, plus a petrol station and the Creggans Inn. Tanamuir is near the start of the A886. Inver is a short drive away, and Dunoon and Inveraray are within easy reach by car. With walking, cycling and fishing all close by - and a FREE EV CHARGER on site - this Strachur cottage is the perfect base to roam Argyll.
