Ardochy House Cottages - four dog-friendly self-catering holiday cottages sleeping 4-6 overlooking Loch Garry in the Scottish Highlands
Ardochy House Cottages offers four charming self-catering holiday cottages in a spectacular lochside setting near Invergarry, in the beautiful West Highlands of Scotland. Originally built as an 18th-century shooting lodge, the historic property has been sympathetically converted into comfortable three-star holiday accommodation while retaining many of its traditional features. Arranged around an attractive cobbled courtyard, the cottages enjoy breathtaking views across Loch Garry towards the surrounding mountains.
With 35 acres of peaceful fields and woodland to explore, Ardochy provides a wonderful retreat for couples, families, groups of friends and dog owners seeking a relaxing Highland holiday.
The accommodation comprises four individually styled cottages, each offering its own character and comfortable facilities. Shepherd's Cottage sleeps four guests and occupies the original farmhouse cottage dating back to the 1700s, while Keeper's Cottage sleeps six and retains traditional features from its days as the estate keeper's home. Grieve's House sleeps four guests in two bedrooms and is particularly suitable for families or two couples sharing. The Barn, converted in 2016, also sleeps four guests in two bedrooms and offers a cosy countryside retreat.
The cottages can be booked individually or together, providing accommodation for up to 18 guests across the four properties, making Ardochy an excellent choice for extended family holidays and group gatherings.
All four cottages are comfortably equipped for self-catering holidays, with modern conveniences including complimentary WiFi, televisions, DVD players, Bluetooth speakers and a selection of books and games. Bed linen, electricity, hot water and seasonal timed central heating are included, along with a starter supply of logs for the wood-burning fires. Towels can be hired for a small additional charge. Families with young children can request a complimentary cot, highchair and other practical essentials, while well-behaved dogs are warmly welcomed. The surrounding estate offers plenty of space for countryside walks, with an enclosed garden at Grieve's House and a gravelled courtyard at Shepherd's Cottage.
A particular highlight of Ardochy House Cottages is its exceptional location beside Loch Garry, surrounded by magnificent Highland scenery and abundant wildlife. Guests can explore the estate's 35 acres of woodland and fields, enjoy scenic walking and cycling routes or take advantage of complimentary bank fishing on the loch. The peaceful surroundings provide wonderful opportunities for wildlife watching, photography and simply enjoying the tranquillity of the Scottish countryside.
