Garrique Cottage, Kippen, is self catering and offers spacious well equipped accommodation, all on one level.

The 33 foot by 11 foot kitchen/ dining/living room with its beamed ceiling provides an ideal space for family activities, with doors out to a decking area with picnic table. Steps from the decking area lead to a private garden where children can play safely. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridges, freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, tumble dryer, gas hob, electric oven, microwave, ironing board and coffee machine.

The separate sitting room has a wood burning stove (logs provided) and offers a haven for those who want to read, watch TV or DVDs, play games or gaze at the ever changing skies over the mountain views.

The 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms are on the same floor as the other rooms, keeping youngsters always near at hand, and making life easy for those who struggle with stairs. The master bedroom ( 6 foot wide bed and room for another single bed if needed) can be en-suite with the shower room. The bunk bedroom sleeps two in full size bunks, and the beds in the twin bedroom can be pushed together if wanted. The family bathroom has a shower attachment over the bath and there is a third toilet plus basin in a small room just inside the back door.

The location is very rural and peaceful, and visitors have seen a wide variety of birds and animals, including ravens, sparrow hawks, red kite, grouse, curlews, wood peckers, lots of song birds, deer, red squirrels, hare, stoats and rabbits. The cottage has its own hard tennis court and there are six reasonably priced golf courses within half an hours drive.
Garrique Cottage, Kippen, is nestled in the hills of west of Stirling, surrounded by fields and woods, and with panoramic mountain views. It is four miles by road from the villages of Kippen and Gargunnock with their gastro pubs and village shops, and eleven miles to the historic City of Stirling with its magnificent castle, fascinating old town, and plenty of large supermarkets, restaurants and other shops.

There is plenty to see and visit within a half hour drive, including the Blair Drummond Safari Park, Wallace Monument (Braveheart), Bannockburn Experience, Falkirk Wheel, Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, and the Lake of Mentieth. However, many visitors use Garrique Cottage as a base from which to tour Scotland, as Edinburgh, Glasgow and Perth are less than an hour away, mainly by motorway, and Loch Ness, Saint Andrews, Inverary, and Scone are among the many places easily visited within the day.
