Caravan and Camping Park in Caithness

Inver Caravan Park in Caithness

Caravan Park in the Scottish Highlands
Caravan and Camping Park in Caithness - Inver Caravan Park is a small Visit Scotland 4 star touring park in the Scottish Highlands.

We have 10 hard standings for motorhomes, 5 smooth grass pitches with electric hook-ups for campervans, tents and for caravanners who prefer to park on grass, and 4 smooth grass pitches for those who don't need electric.

We have some surrounding trees for shelter, 18 electric hook-ups, mains water, recycling facilities and a dump station for disposal of grey water and chemical toilet disposal.

The roads in the caravan park are tarred and gritted, and therefore not muddy, whatever the weather or season.

The Facilities Block has double glazing, lots of insulation, underfloor heating throughout and the whole building is tiled from floor to ceiling. We have 3 private unisex shower rooms with excellent power showers and automatic hand driers. One is very suitable for disabled visitors.

There is a bathroom with a shower over the bath. This has proved to be popular, especially with tired walkers, cyclists, chilly bikers and families with small children. There is a hair drier and shaver point in the hall of the shower area. There is also a separate WC.

Free Fibre-optic Wifi is available throughout the caravan park, for those who cannot be off-line for long. You can browse the internet or catch up on your emails from the comfort of your motor home or caravan!

Castle View is a Willerby Granada which sleeps up to 4 people, in 1 double and 1 twin bedroom. Sheets, duvets and covers, pillows and cases, and towels are all supplied. We allow dogs in this caravan, but not in the bedrooms. Please bring your dog's bedding and bowls with you. There is a designated parking area for 1 car beside the static. Please enquire for prices.

Scaraben View is a BK Bluebird Sheraton static caravan, which is one of the best-appointed caravans ever built. It is a 38' x 12', 3 bedroom holiday caravan sleeping up to 8 people, in 1 double bedroom, 2 twin bedrooms and 1 full size double sofa bed in the living area. It has double glazed windows, and LPG gas central heating in all rooms. Please enquire for prices.

We have 2 bands of pricing, low season from October to May, and High Season from June to September. Prices are per night, per pitch and per person, so you just have to add up all the items that are appropriate to you.

Caravan and Camping Park in Caithness - Inver Caravan Park is adjacent to the A9, right on the North Coast 500 driving route with views out over Dunbeath Bay and Moray Firth.

We are on the North Coast 500 Driving route, 86 miles north-east of Inverness, 38 miles south-west of John o' Groats.

Inver Caravan Park is a few minutes walk from the SPAR shop, and from 'The Bay' Inn, Bar & Eatery. The local beach, children's play park and tennis court are also nearby, as are the excellent Dunbeath Heritage Centre and the Laidhay Croft Museum and Tearoom.

Within easy reach are lovely walks up the Dunbeath Strath, and also a good vantage point from which to view puffins.

This is also an excellent place to stay while walking the John o' Groats trail from Inverness to John o' Groats, which in this area is a clifftop pathway which is constantly being upgraded. It is easier to follow earlier in the season before the vegetation makes it hard to see.
