West Ord Cottages, Berwick Upon Tweed, offer three comfortable self catering cottages by the banks of the River Tweed, each sleeping between 4 and 6 guests.

Shepherds Cottage | Sleeps 6: is a detached and has ample parking for two cars to the front and a fenced garden (which is mainly lawn and very safe for children playing) to the rear. Garden furniture and a barbeque are also provided. Three bedrooms. Two bedrooms upstairs, one with double bed the other with twin beds. A third bedroom with zip and link beds can provide either twin or double sleeping for two people on the ground floor.

Bathroom is upstairs and has an over-bath shower. Living room has ample comfortable seating and an LCD TV with DVD, books and board games. Kitchen/ Dinning room is fully equipped with double oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and automatic washing machine and tumble drier. A spacious room with dinning table and chairs, and patio doors leading to the garden. There is also a wall mounted LCD TV, and CD/radio/cassette system.

A shower room is also located on the ground floor, providing level access shower, and toilet/wash basin facilities for guests with mobility problems. Please phone or email for full details depending on your requirements. Heating is by a combination of night storage and panel heaters. An open fire is available at colder times of the year. Double-glazed and carpeted throughout. One dog is welcome in Shepherds Cottage.

South Bells Shiel | Sleeps 5: has accommodation on two floors. Living room with large open fireplace, antique pine table and chairs, easy chairs, and LCD TV with DVD. Kitchenette to one end of the main living room accommodates sink, electric cooker, microwave, fridge and storage cupboards. Shower room downstairs with toilet and wash hand basin. Bedroom A spiral staircase leads to an upstairs bedroom with twin beds and single bed settee. Double bed settee, good quality and large, in the main living room providing sleeping for two people, with pine blanket box next to it containing the bedding.

Heating is provided by a log fire in the living room, there are also panel heaters with timer switches. Sorry, no dogs allowed. NB. South Bells Shiel is only available from April until the end of October.

Geary Shiel | Sleeps 4: has all accommodation on the ground floor. Living room with large open fireplace, antique pine table and chairs, easy chairs and an LCD TV and DVD. Kitchenette in solid pine to one end of the living room accommodates electric cooker, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washer/drier. Shower room downstairs with toilet and wash hand basin. Bedroom has zip and link beds, which can provide twin or king-size double beds, and ample wardrobe and drawer storage for four people. Double bed settee, good quality and large, in the main living room providing sleeping for two people, with pine blanket box next to it containing the bedding.

Heating is provided by a log-burning stove in the living room, there is also a storage heater and panel heaters with timer switches. Sorry, no dogs allowed.

Within ten minutes drive of our cosy cottages, you can have access to miles of stunning sandy Northumbrian beaches, Cocklawburn Beach is on our doorstep, The Holy Island of Lindisfarne a ten minute drive, Bamburgh and the Farne Islands half an hours drive away and to the north of Berwick-upon-Tweed the fabulous rocky cliffs and promontories that are St.Abb's Head, Coldingham Bay and Eyemouth.

We have many Castles and stately homes in our locality, an area steeped in history with battle fields and tales of bravery, savagery and romance!

West Ord Farm is about 4 miles west of historic Berwick upon Tweed, the farm sits on the banks of the River Tweed, we are 5 mins drive from the A1 and just off the A698 Coldstream road. Near to fantastic beaches on the Northumberland coast, and also the rocky headlands and promontories of the Berwickshire coast. Close to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne, the Cheviot Hills and National Park.
