Tucked away in a tranquil area of rural Northumberland, The Laverock is the ideal place to relax and explore the fantastic coast, castles and wildlife. Originally built as a terrace of single-storey labourers' cottages, the properties have been lovingly restored retaining many of their original features and are set in two acres of wooded landscape.
Our cottages and shepherd's hut are dog-friendly (excluding the treehouse) with walks from the doorstep.
Skylark Cottgae: Sleeps 5 | Saturday c/o | Dogs welcome
Skylark was our first traditional farmworkers' cottage and remains our most popular. It's cosy but spacious with home-from-home touches and a sun-trap courtyard.
Swallow Cottage: Sleeps 5 | Friday c/o | Dogs welcome
Swallow Cottage has amazing views across open fields with fantastic sunrises. The open plan living space is a great place to rest and relax during your holiday.
Woodpecker Cottage: Sleeps 5 | Saturday c/o | Dogs welcome
Woodpecker is a spacious open cottage, traditionally styled with modern touches in a peaceful courtyard setting. It has a luxury bathroom with a rolltop bath.

Of course whilst you are staying at Laverock Law we imagine that you will want to get out and about exploring some of the fantastic scenery, history and hospitality that North Northumberland has to offer, we can give you lots of help and ideas with this when you are here as well as the information below. We know that holidays are also about spending time together, either as a couple, family or friends and can offer the following literally on your doorstep.
Sit down around a campfire, toasting marshmallows or even cooking a simple supper, a great place to share stories and make new friends.
Enjoy the tree platform, either as a place to 'eat out', share a glass of wine or for children - it can be a castle, den or meeting place.
Our croft provides a fantastic safe place for games, space for football, learn to play a game of croquet or have fun building a den using our den building kits.
Ride the ultimate green travel machine, the go-kart, with up to four seats this is great fun for children of all ages.
Build a bird box. Ready prepared kits are available for you to assemble (help and tools available) and create your own bird box to either take away or put up at Laverock so you can see more wildlife next time you visit.
Borrow a bike: we have two adult Dawes bikes available (with helmets) that you can take out for trips to the village shop or exploring the quiet roads around Laverock.
In your cottage you will find a selection of books, games and also a Brio railway to keep you busy.
