Rowan Cottage, New Galloway, was created from a barn, stable and byre in 1998. The cottage offers light and airy self catering accommodation for up to 6 guests.
The Cottage has simple white walls decorated with tasteful prints and original paintings and has natural pine doors and fittings.
The accommodation for six persons consists of an entrance porch with dual access to the spacious lounge/diner and to the well-appointed kitchen. The kitchen has good cooking facilities, a clothes washer/dryer, and a small breakfast bar.
A hallway leads to the master double bedroom and main toilet/shower room.
Upstairs there are two spacious twin bedrooms and a WC cloakroom.
The cottage benefits from oil fired central heating. The boiler house provides secure storage for bikes etc., plus a bait fridge/freezer.
A private lane leads to a turning area and ample private parking.
It has a mature and secluded woodland style garden bounded by a burn (stream). A bridge leads to a public footpath and a lovely meadows walk to the River Ken and to the Ken Bridge Hotel (1 mile).
Even though the cottage is situated in the village it gives a sense of seclusion and privacy.
We do accept well-behaved dogs in Rowan Cottage (£25 per dog). We do ask that they are kept off the furniture and beds.
Please note that it is a non-smoking cottage.
