The Slap and Gateway Cabin are set on a working croft in Ruemara, Burray in Orkney.

Burray is connected by road over the spectacular Churchill Barriers to the main island of Orkney, making this one of the most beautiful drives you will take, past the historic block ships, sunk during the two world wars.

The airport is 20 mins drive away and the Gills Bay ferry to Scotland is about 10 mins away. The ferry crossing is about an hour right through Scapa Flow past the many islands and the World War defences.

The Orkney Isles are a beautiful collection of islands where you will find some of the most spectacular scenery in the UK. We are located in Burray which can be found to the north of South Ronaldsay, the southern most of the Orkney islands, these two islands are connected by the forth Churchhill barrier.

Scapa Flow is one of the best diving sites in the world. Diving courses can be arranged for the first time diver. To finish off a hectic day of sightseeing, take a relaxing stroll along one of the many sandy beaches and admire the crystal clear blue seas.

You can now also play golf in stunning surroundings on the new golf course in the next village of St Margrets Hope.
